A licensed hairstylist since 1988, Kathleen has devoted her life to helping women feel beautiful. Her work, however, has always gone deeper than style. For 15 years, she also served as an internal medicine nurse alongside a geriatric specialist, caring for patients navigating serious health challenges. In those years, she witnessed: when a woman loses her hair, it is often felt as the worst day of their life.

That understanding is not only professional — it is deeply personal. For more than 25 years, Kathleen’s family has walked the difficult road of cancer. She understands the fear, the strength, and the quiet courage required during treatment. She knows that compassion cannot be taught from a textbook; it is lived.

For many years, Kathleen volunteered with the Look Good Feel Better program, guiding women through chemotherapy toward moments of renewed confidence. She saw firsthand how something as simple as looking in the mirror and recognizing yourself again can bring light into a very difficult time. While understanding the seriousness she also tries to help others to be optimistic while navigating these major bumps in the road.

Today, Kathleen brings together nearly four decades of cosmetology expertise, extensive medical experience, and heartfelt empathy in her work at Merle Norman Cosmetics in Roseville, Minnesota.
